What We Do
Founded in 2024, Slice of Cake Productions is an independent South African production company specialising in the development and production of original films and visual storytelling.
From the earliest stages of research and concept development through production and post-production, we take a hands-on approach to every project. We believe that exceptional storytelling begins long before the camera rolls, which is why we invest in thoughtful development, strong creative collaboration, and a clear vision that carries through every stage of the filmmaking process.

Through a distinctly feminist lens, we explore the questions that shape our society—from power and labour to identity, class, and belonging. Our work is deeply character-driven, guided by the belief that the most meaningful stories invite audiences to think differently without ever telling them what to think.
